While summer may be officially over, this is a good time to consider how your air conditioning system held up to what you’ve thrown at it in the past few months. Has it been working as efficiently as you’re used to, or does it seem to be slowing down a bit?

If you find that there is some potential that it’s experiencing some issues, you might consider a professional home inspection with thermal imaging. An infrared camera can see things happening with your air conditioner that the human eye can’t. For example, damaged electrical connections may not be visibly apparent, but the heat that’s generated by them is easy to see with thermal imaging. Or, the HVAC ductwork in dark, hard-to-reach corners of your attic may be cracked, or it may have leaking seals. An infrared camera can identify these issues. Once you know more about what’s happening, you can determine if you need to consult an HVAC professional.
